Trevor has operated his own real estate brokerage in the Halifax/Dartmouth area for more than twenty years, first as First Realty and for the past seven years as Innovative Real Estate. He grew up in Armdale and attended university at St. Mary’s and Dalhousie. Trevor has served as the Vice-President and a Director of the Halifax-Dartmouth Real Estate Board (currently known as the Nova Scotia Association of REALTORS®) and during that time he served as Chair of the Board’s Education and Arbitration Committees.

Trevor’s two brokerages have in the past operated with as many as a dozen licensed sales people and support staff, but recently he adjusted his business model to create a boutique agency where he could have closer, more personal relationship with his clients, customers and the local community.

“I found that I was spending too much time supervising sales staff, which did not allow me to do what I really loved; interacting directly with the public and providing more attentive service to our clients.” Modern technology and communications, says Trevor, allows us the luxury of operating a smaller, more responsive brokerage.”

A strong proponent of the shop local ethic, Trevor spends a great deal of time supporting local enterprises and institutions such as The Dartmouth Heritage Museum and the Dartmouth Farmers’ Market. “Shopping local supports family farms and local entrepreneurs assuring that more of our money stays in the provincial economy”.
